Some generative prompts (and maybe even a few very short "summer-ish" excerpts from literature) will be offered and then students will have a chance to write and share.  There will also be time at the end of the session for open discussion about our writing routines, challenges, celebrations and goals. William Papaleo, co-founder of Key to the Castle Workshop, is partnering with DonKey Travel to offer you the opportunity to come paint and travel with him on Italy's beautiful Amalfi Coast. Our home base for the Painting Holiday, taking place September 13-19, 2025, will be a bed & breakfast in Vietri, and each day we will venture to a different Amalfi Coast location to paint, explore & enjoy together.

We’re returning to the Amalfi Coast in 2026 from May 23rd-May30th for our Signature Key to the Castle Workshop program for writers. Join us in the seaside village of Cetara for writing, painting and simply taking in the beauty, charms and flavors of Southern Italy. Friends will be made, creativity will flow and gelato will be served!
